Attention should also be paid, as the wrong choice of colors and patterns may make the mosque dark and gloomy.

Color Selection in Mosque Carpet

When choosing colors for the carpet of the mosque, the features and interior architecture of the mosque, where the carpet will be used, should be examined in detail.

Colors compatible with the tiles and paints used in the mosque should be preferred and attention should be paid to the integrity of the color tones.

The size of the mosque is important in color selection. If the mosque in which the carpet is to be used is wide and receives daylight, dark colors can be preferred.

The fact that the mosque receives daylight is also important in the choice of colors. If it is a region that does not get much daylight or where cloudy weather is experienced more like the Black Sea, it is important to prefer light colors.

Pattern Selection in Mosque Carpet

Before determining the pattern of the mosque carpet, patterns in which the pure places are evident should be preferred in order for the community to use it easily.

The architecture of the mosque is important in pattern selection as well as in color selection. For example; In a mosque where tile pattern is frequently used, it will be more reasonable to prefer carpet with low pattern.

If the colors used in the mosque carpet pattern match the color of the paint used in the mosque, it may seem more aesthetic in terms of providing integrity.

In mosques that do not get much daylight, we should not use dark colors or avoid mixed patterns. However, if the width and light of the mosque are available, the desired pattern can be selected with peace of mind.
